Develop a list of success criteria for the solution

1. Copy and complete the table bellow onto your site. Outline how your logo design could be checked with these. Can you add any more success criteria of your own?

Present feasible design ideas, which can be correctly interpreted by others

  1. Create quick, fast, different thumbnail sketches of ideas. Use the "Grid of Creativity" technique
  2. Chose one thumbnail idea to develop. (larger and better quality)
  3. Evaluate the idea using the above success criteria using a simple ranking system.

For each of the following criteria give your best 2-3 logo ideas a rank out of 10.

  • General
  • Form
  • Function
  • Quality

Present the chosen design

1. Give and receive feedback on designs.

2. Based upon the above evaluations, make changes to your logo if needed.

3. Explain your final choice to your table group. Why is this idea better that other ideas?

Create a planning drawing/diagram which outlines the main details for making the chosen solution.

1. You have been given a step-by-step guide of how you create a digital version of your logo. Re-arrange these steps into the most efficient order

2. Scan your final design drawing and annotate to show what 'software tools' you could use to create you digital 2D version. Refer to the instructional videos!

For example:

    1. Scan image and import into Photoshop.
    2. Create a duplicate layer
    3. Trace in sections using drawing tools (Pen tool)
    4. Hide background Layer
    5. Delete background using Magic Wand
    6. Select 3D extrusion
    7. Adjust thickness
  1. Export for printing!
