Solution Designs

Generate 3-4 different design ideas each taking a different approach to the problem you are trying to solve.

For apps and website this will include a visual representation (wire-frame) of what the user will see and how they could interact with the software.

App design idea (hand drawn)

Digital Magazine layout (Drawn using software)

Design ideas can be hand drawn or completed on one of the may templates provided. (Sketch_Up_Sheets[1].zip )

Along with the sketch, each design should include a written description.

Evaluation Criteria

Firstly, you need to objectively evaluate each design your self using and evaluation criteria in order to decide which design is the most suitable.

You should design a list of criteria that outlines the main element needed for this solution to be successful.

Bellow are some examples.(This should not be considered a template, just a guide.I would expect 10-12 criteria for your solution)

Secondly you need to present your designs to your client to gain their feedback. Record their feedback and then act upon it. You may need to present your design several time before your client is satisfied.

This discourse should be included on your Design page on your website.

Final Design

Present your final design complete with annotations, descriptions and make sure you have addressed your clients needs.

A combination of separate design outlining different elements of the proposed solution might be the best option. For example, a website layout design (see example) plus a site map showing how pages are linked plus logo design or banner design.

Your annotations and description could include elements such as:

Graphics/aesthetics

Software needed

User interface

Site maps
