Businesses

1. Jack the Lad.

This is a family owned men's fashion store that has been in business for over 50 years. With the retirement of the 'old man' his son is keen to reinvigorate the business and grow an online store to complement the existing 'brick and mortar' shop. They have a loyal customer base and are known for customer service and quality product range. They need to engage more with the younger market.

2. Bob's Burgers

A cheap and greasy burger joint that has a great spot on a popular street in the inner city. The owners want to overhaul the restaurant's image and appeal to the hipster market with healthier options to compliment the traditional burgers'n'fries. No web presence whatsoever.

3. Goodies Home Appliances.

A successful home appliance company that has 4 branches across Melbourne. They sell white-goods, audio visual equipment and general home electrical products. While business is good and they have a successful online store, they are looking for way to utilize social media to increase visibility and consumer awareness of their brand.

A possible pitch could look something like this.

For Bob's Burgers, one team member could present several new logo designs using sketching software.

The second, a basic mobile app layout that includes an interactive menu (build your own custom burger, then order via the app) presented using wire-frame design software.

The final team member a promotional campaign using social media. eg; Using Instagram where customers take selfies eating their burger or a Facebook 'Like' competition.

These ideas would need to be showcased with different variations of each concept and explained in detail.

Be creative!
