Development

Manipulation will be marked /20. Testing & Documentation /5 each for a total of 30.

Due: Friday 31/10

Manipulation

This step involves the actual creation of your solution. The manipulation of code, data and information in order to 'build' an IT product. I need you to show the development of your porject and the steps taken to compete it.

Take screen shots (10-15 minimum) and upload them to your website. Describe the problems you encountered and describe how you over came them.

What worked well?

What not so well?

Did you make changes to your design? Why?

Testing

Testing how your solution actually works is, of course, a critical part of the design process.

These are the testing hat occurs before you present the final product to your client. You need to identify any bugs and fix them beforehand!

This activity typically involves:

  • establishing what tests will be conducted
  • determining what test data, if any, will be used
  • determining expected results
  • conducting the test
  • recording the actual results
  • correcting any identified errors.

You should:

1. Describe the kind of tests that you will carry out. For example, beta testing, expert appraisal data validation.

2. Actually carry out these tests and record the results.

Documentation

Please provide a written description of the completed product outlining how it 'solves' the problem for your client. Explain your design choices (theme, style, logos, user interface etc).

Provide a user guide (if appropriate).

Have you deviated from your deign?

Do you believe these changes will impact how your client will respond to the product?
