C: Creating the solution

Construct a plan, which considers the use of resources and time, sufficient for peers to be able to follow to create the solution

You have been given a series of instructions of how to create your pen. But they are in the wrong order!

In your table groups, re-arrange the steps into the correct order.

Then enter these steps into the table below and create a step-by-step guide of how and when you will make your pen. There should be sufficient detail so one of your classmates could follow your plan and make your pen.

Demonstrate excellent technical skills when making the solution

You need to show me that you have been paying attention during demonstrations and when I have been giving instructions. Your pen and should be made to the best of your ability.

These criteria will be assessed by teacher observation and the general quality of your work.

Follow the plan to create the solution, which functions as intended and is presented appropriately

Follow your plan and keep a record of how things went.

A simple comment in the "progress" column in the above table plus pictures to show your progress.

Explain the changes made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution.

As you make your pen, you may decide to make changes to your design idea.

For example you may decide to remove some part of your pen to make it simpler or the ergonomic design may change while the pen is being created.

This is fine, but you need to explain why you have changed your design or your plan.

Present the solution as a whole

Take several good quality photographs of your completed pen and upload them to your website.
