*(Use 2 large, pretty 1-liter bottles with stoppers. You can use smaller bottles as well.)
1 large bag cranberries will fill the 2 large bottles.
2 limes
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
Vodka
Rinse the cranberries and drain/dry them on paper towels.
Use a paring knife or peeler to cut the lime peel, 1"-2" long pieces, off the limes.
Using clean kitchen scissors or a small sharp knife, snip a slit into the end of each cranberry. Stuff the cranberries into the neck of the bottle until they're half full. Push in 2-3 lime peels. Add more cranberries till about 4" from the top. Add 2-3 more lime peels, then pour in 1 tablespoon of granulated white sugar. Add more cranberries until about 1-2" from the top of the bottle.
Pour vodka into the bottle, up to an inch from the top. Seal the stopper, gently turn the bottle top to bottom a few times to mix the sugar and vodka. Set aside for about 2 weeks, shaking the bottles every day or so. Add more vodka if the liquid level drops noticeably.
