The West Blvd. area was annexed to the City of Cleveland in two different years - 1873 and 1903. West Boulevard was a north-south road that was to connect Edgewater Park with Brookside Park. The area is known for it's broad tree lawns and beautiful homes. Lorain Avenue is the northern border of the West Blvd. neighborhood and is its business area and is called "Antique Avenue" because of all the antique stores.
