Non-Published Theatre

Professional and amateur theatre companies acted the seven plays that were published between 1980 and 1988, some more than once.

Written in 1996, "Auto das Muy Desvairadas Partes e da Índia" was the one that was not published but was acted in 1997 by the D. Maria II National Theatre Company. It was the only play signed by a pseudonym: "Anonymus Author of the XXI Century ". Once in the century in which the pseudo author affirms being born, the paternity of the play is assumed and here are some published photographs, audio and video short cuts from the performance.

Written in 2005 "Pimba de Pumba e Catrapumba" is a puppet playI wrote for the Fantocheiras de Além Tejo, who performed it several times during the year.

Finally in 2006 I finished an unpublished play I called "Raining Fire inside my heart" which will be perfomed soon, I hope...

Studies about Theatre

For the realisation of the Masters' essay in 1987 I returned to the títeres theatre- an infant passion- and chose as theme a specific branch of the popular Portuguese theatre, the bonifrates, entitled "Auto da Criação do Mundo".

The field of work was Alentejo, close to Mestre Talhinhas, one of the puppeteers that gave voice and body to the títeres (died in 2001). An essay and a videogram were the results of this work, integrating part of my Masters. I believe it was the first Masters' essay presented and evaluated in a public university, in Portugal, that included a videogram as an icon support of the written work
