The real season is almost here after a terrible slate of non-conference games (Well sort of, only 6 teams playing next week). Non the less, in the coming weeks we can get a better feel for who the best teams are.
1. Farber - Not a great week, but still the best to me. Gardner won't have a week that bad the rest of the year.
2. Knipp - Not a good week for the receivers, but if Toussaint can get it going that may be the deciding factor in the league. Hackenberg really needs to step up his game too.
3. Schumann - I think the quarterbacks and receivers are good enough to keep this team in contention the entire year. Not sure why Derrick Green is still on the roster though.
4. Haines - For my sake, I hope Guiton doesn't play in a game the rest of the year, but the Maestro is starting to make a name for himself. As long as Stave stops having 4 points while Wisconsin scores 41 points, this team should be in contention.
5. Seth - Martinez not playing really killed this team this week. I really feel for you, not having your best player for one week. An extra bump this week for starting his tailgate at 8am in the pouring rain on Saturday, Rain outfit, sandals, and all.
6. Jake - Can Miller play in one game, please. With that and Kirkwood taking his time, it's been a rough couple of weeks. This team is not good enough to be without its full compliment of players.
7. Luke - Blind squirrel meet nut. That may be a little harsh, but Latimer needs to start playing like that every week (as he should) and if this team can get a good performance out of one of those quarterbacks every week, don't count them out yet.
8. Heydinger - Carlos Hyde playing had to have been a great sign for this team, but Sudfeld may have lost his job. Purdue and Hunt really need to start scoring some touchdowns, a lot of them.
