The week of the quarterback and the awful Big Ten Conference. I also slipped into the Michigan St. press conference after the game on Friday, and the following took place:
Reporter: "Andrew, are you determined to prove your arm strength on every throw?"
Maxwell: "Well, I looked across the sideline and saw a 50 win, 73% completion rate quarterback without an NFL team only because his arm strength is a question. So I figured if I throw the ball as hard as I can every time, I'll at least be a sixth round pick."
Reporter: "Leveon, are you concerned about dying this year?"
Bell: "Yes, but as long as I stay in for goal line situations, my mom won't need to look into contacting Grambling about transferring."
Me: "Coach, I have Caper on my fantasy team, can you please give him the ball more than twice a game."
Dantoni: "No."
1. Luke - Bell is the new Javon Ringer. Bones will never be happier. Colter is a concern though. Not sure what his deal is.
2. Jake - Looking very solid right now, especially with no points out of Toussaint or Mich's Defense this week.
3. Schumann - Still love this team. If Michigan played a cupcake like every other team, he would have gotten 40 points out of Denard.
4. Knipp - Should be moving up every week. Abdullah may be getting a lot more carries too. Wisconsin was really bad, so Ball might be a little disappointing this year.
5. Farber - Season will depend on the severity of Burkhead's injury. If Martinez can continue to throw the ball well, that will be a huge boost.
6. Haines - Had a great week considering Bolden and Hall are still hurt. If they come back soon, this team will be better than first thought.
7. Heydinger - Kofi Hughes next week will give the team improvement, but still not looking great at this point.
8. Seth - A huge week from Braxton, but really nothing else. ;
Blast from the Past:
Email from Jake, 10-28-10: remember Knipp's best man speech: "Bones you wanna hang out tonight?" "Mmmmmmmrrrraaaaahhhhh. I don't know."
