Its starting to get real interesting. Next week will be a big week for the two teams at the top as Ohio State is on bye. If Seth and Jake can weather that storm it may come down to those two teams. The Rankings reflect how I think the teams will finish along with their odds of winning. Also, this was supposed to be the week for the special rankings, I messed up.
1. Seth (2:1)
Whats to Like: A pretty decent sized lead at this point.
Whats not to Like: He’s blown bigger leads than this before and no quarterback next week.
2. Luke (3:1)
Whats to Like: Several players are gaining momentum as the season as progressed and Colter as a wide receiver playing quarterback.
Whats not to Like: Colter against the leagues two best defenses in the next two weeks.
3. Jake (4:1)
Whats to Like: Getting to choose between two guys at quarterback who are producing a lot, and the mini-Montee Ballesque run Carlos Hyde has been on.
Whats not to Like: The Ohio State bye next week could spell disaster.
4. Heydinger (9:1)
Whats to Like: A full complement of players in the coming weeks.
Whats not to Like: The number of points he has to make up on Seth and three teams total to take down.
5. Knipp (21:1)
Whats to Like: Two solid additions to the team last week.
Whats not to Like: The quarterbacks.
6. Farber (99-1)*
Whats to Like: Taylor Martinez is tearing it up.
Whats not to Like: Almost every player other than Taylor Martinez.
7. Schumann (1000-1)*
Whats to Like: Not having to cheer for Denard the rest of the year.
Whats not to Like: The entire team.
8. Haines (Mathematically Eliminated)
Whats to Like: Relax, your season’s over.
Whats not to Like: Not being able to trade for draft picks.
*Farber and Schumann are probably mathematically eliminated as well, I didn’t take the time to figure it out.
Blast from the Past:
I put this into the Week 9 rankings last year:
Final standings 2010 with Week 9 scores in ()'s.
#1 - (51)
#2 - (52)
#3 - (69) - Seth
#4 - (47)
#5 - (50)
#6 - (46)
#7 - (36)
Damn that was huge lead. Here's hoping things turn out the same this year, for me anyway.
