Newsletters, aside from being interesting and useful for their content, provide us an opportunity to practice complicated page layout. Imagine that you are writing for your own club or organization and have fun with this project.
It is not necessary to write the complete text of the articles included in your newsletter. You can copy and paste text from Newsletter.txt, look up Lorem ipsum and quote that, or find your own. However, the call-out text should make sense and be worthy of a prominent position.
Title
Some sort of date like September 2010 or Fall 2011
At least two article titles
Two or more articles.
Return address
Address of a sample recipient
A graphic of some kind
A box to indicate where the stamp should be placed.
Important text for a pull quote or call-out
The document should include at least two sections.
One or more sections must have a single column.
One or more sections must have two columns.
Use two sides of letter-sized paper.
Include a section break.
Include a column break.
Include a page break.
Include a line break.
Have text flow around the pull quote.
Add a footer with text to both pages.
You may email the document or copy it to a computer the teacher makes available in the classroom.
