We began with a paper and pencil quiz, since online work is still problematic.
For part of the class period we alternated looking at each other's birthday party invitations, keeping an eye out for techniques that were unfamiliar. If useful, they should have been incorporated into the observer's invitation.
Now that the SMART board is working with the teacher's computer, we started birthday cards which will be 4-page book folded documents. Instructions for page setup are included with the Birthday Card Project description.
