One of the perks of working from home is that you can eat at your desk in between calls. There is no set schedule for taking breaks or no allotted number of breaks. Most of the time you will not need to log out when taking a quick restroom break or other such thing. We do ask that if you are going to be away from your desk for more than 15 minutes you first let your supervisor know and then log out.
Do I just leave to go to the restroom or grab food?
No. Let your co-workers know when you will be momentarily unavailable.
Please keep in mind that you are working with a small group of people. For example - if the phones are busy and Jill is quickly using the restroom, leaving two people to answer calls, you should wait until Jill returns and, if possible, the phones have slowed down.
Another example would be that the phones are not busy and you'd like to make a sandwich. In this case, you can simply tell your co-workers that you are taking a break and you'll be back shortly. Be sure to let your team know once you have returned to your desk too.
What is the break time guidelines per shift?
