This Monday we began our week with our monthy whole school rosary. I absolutely love the community and calm these monthly prayer moments bring to our day.
Today at Mass we celebrated the feast day of St. Josaphat. This day is near and dear to my heart as I spent the majority of my career at the Basilica of St. Josaphat Parish School. He was born in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, modern day Ukrain. His birth name was John. His parents were Orthodox and he was raised that way. He entered a monastery and was ordained a Catholic Priest. He went on to be an Archbishop. He worked to try to unite the Catholic and Orthodox churches. He was martyred during an anti-Catholic riot. It was said that many Catholics in Polotsk and Lithuania were due to St. Josaphat's teachings and faith.

Also mark your calendar for our Christmas concert on December 17, 2025. 1:00 will be a run through where all the students will be in the church listening as well and then our 6:00 show will be with the students dressed in Fun Festive Christmas attire. (no jingly bells)

If you would like to volunteer for fieldtrips or at any school event you need to sign up for the Safe Environment training through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Can you believe we only have one more full week left until Thanksgiving break. This month has brought us so much to be grateful for. Our students have enjoyed fieldtrips, buddy activities, presenters, the book fair, and our Grandparents day. We had 98% turnout for parent teacher conferences on Friday. THANK YOU FAMILIES!!!!!! I am so amazed at the love you show to your students and the support you give to our staff in showing up for events like this. Since that day we are down to only needing to make up a couple more conferences. Please contact your student's teacher if you have not met with them. For grandparents day we hosted 250+ VIPs and students for breakfast. We had about 40 of our loved ones stay for Mass. Again the love and support is beyond compare.
We are missing Ms. Fajardo this week as she is taking some training for an additional counseling degree.
In the meantime we continue to focus on our virtue of RESPECT.
Saturday our Girls on the Run team had their final activity with their 5K at American Family Field in Milwaukee. They gave it their all through the cold and cloudy day. This group of girls learned so much throughout the season about peer relations and the importance of friendships as well as physical fitness. I love seeing the connections they have in school as well.
John 23rd is a community program in St. Patrick's church that provides after school tutoring, homework help and enrichment events. They are taking registrations for 4-12 grade. It is a free program. Here is the link to register. 25-26 After School Registration
