In the past few weeks I have offered up prayer to the health and wellness of our staff and families. It has been a difficult time for our school community and there are several individuals that could use our thoughts and prayers as they battle their personal recovery. I once saw a sign in a restaurant of all places that said "Be Kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about." This is brought to my reflection this week as we continue to support each other through our journey. I am beyond proud of our students and staff for leading with kindness everyday. Sure there are times we all need the reminder and to refocus but we definitely are blessed with a school community that is truly KIND to all we meet. Thank you for being a part of this amazing community!
En las últimas semanas he ofrecido oración por la salud y el bienestar de nuestro personal y nuestras familias. Ha sido un momento difícil para nuestra comunidad escolar y hay varias personas que podrían usar nuestros pensamientos y oraciones mientras luchan por su recuperación personal. Una vez vi un cartel en un restaurante de todos los lugares que decía: "Sé amable, porque todas las personas que conoces están librando una batalla de la que no sabes nada". Esto se incluye en mi reflexión esta semana mientras continuamos apoyándonos mutuamente en nuestro viaje. Estoy más que orgulloso de nuestros estudiantes y personal por liderar con amabilidad todos los días. Seguro que hay momentos en los que todos necesitamos un recordatorio y un reenfoque, pero definitivamente somos bendecidos con una comunidad escolar que es verdaderamente AMABLE con todos los que conocemos. ¡Gracias por ser parte de esta increíble comunidad!

Today, October 16th was the last day to sign up for Trunk or Treat. If you have not returned your sign up sheet please dojo me tonight and send the form in tomorrow. The archdiocese has set some strict guidelines for Trunk or Treat that we must follow to continue this event. This is why we are asking for names in advance and not taking walk ups. See below for guidelines.
The event must be only for the families of the school. (We will not take walk ups, everyone who signed up will receive a wristband from school the day of the event. Safe environment trained adults will have a different colored wristband.)
There must be 1 safe environment trained adult for every 10 children. (This is another reason we can not have extra children so we can maintain this ratio)
Only safe environment trained adults can pass out candy. (This is why we are collecting candy and will have a separate candy station.)
The school building can not be open. (We will not be able to use the bathrooms throughout the 1 hour event)
I would really like to keep this beloved event, however, we all need to make sure that we are following the new policies so we do not have to cancel the event moving forward.
