Happy Rainy Wednesday! This past Monday, March 31 we welcomed a new addition to our staff. Ms. Grace Lunceford started as our Administrative Assistant. No worries, Ms. Pulda is not going anywhere, she is simply returning to her Educational Assistant position for next school year. She will have the remainder of this year to train Ms. Lunceford and fill some of the EA duties as well. Please help us welcome Ms. Lunceford when you see her or hear her answer a call.
Our students completed the last scheduled Forward test today. We will work toward completing the make up tests for students who were absent or needed more time over the next week or so.

No se preocupen, la Sra. Pulda no se irá, simplemente regresará a su puesto de Asistente Educativa para el próximo año escolar. Tendrá el resto del año para capacitar a la Sra. Lunceford y también para desempeñar algunas de las funciones de Asistente Educativa. Por favor, ayúdennos a darle la bienvenida a la Sra. Safe Environment Week March 30-April 6
The Archdiocese of Milwaukee recognizes March 30th–April 6th as Safe Environment Awareness Week. Each year in the month of April, which is recognized around the country as child abuse prevention month, we dedicate a week to elevating the general awareness of the Church’s efforts to keep our children safe. We want people to know that we are committed to maintaining safe environments in our parishes and schools through adult child abuse prevention training; criminal background checks for all clergy, volunteers working with minors, and employees; safety training for children in each grade level; and adhering to all mandatory reporting requirement laws.
La Arquidiócesis de Milwaukee reconoce que del 30 de Marzo al 6 de abril como Semana de conocimiento sobre Ambiente Seguro. Cada año, en el mes de abril, es reconocido en todo el país como el mes de prevención del abuso infantil, dedicamos una semana a elevar la conciencia general de los esfuerzos de la Iglesia para mantener a nuestros niños seguros. Queremos que las personas sepan que estamos comprometidos a mantener ambientes seguros en nuestras parroquias y escuelas a través de capacitaciones para adultos para la prevención del abuso infantil; verificación de antecedentes penales para todos los clérigos, voluntarios que trabajan con menores y empleados; capacitaciones sobre la seguridad para niños en cada nivel de grado; y los requisitos obligatorios de informes.

Students will also be creating a page in our slide show. They will be learning about this in their homeroom class.
Class Speeches will be due April 30. Students can begin writing their speech if they would like to be considered and allow the Junior High staff to proof read at any point.
Students received applications for our Sr. Joyce Wiesner Merit Scholarship last week. This is a $500 award sponsored by our SPA (parent organization). Students are asked to write an essay based on the list of qualities valued by Sr. Joyce. Please return the essay to the office by April 4, 2025. If you have not received the application letter please contact the office.
Students must complete their required service hours to participate in the graduation ceremony. Reminders have been coming home regularly. Another will be coming home requiring a signature if your student is not meeting the requirement.
