Today is the day for our Christmas Concert. Our halls have been filled with angelic voices as our students have been practicing so hard to bring a fabulous show your way. Our 1:00 performance will look slightly different as our students will also be in the church watching the performance. The church doors will open at 12:40. Our final performance is at 6:00 tonight. Doors will open no earlier 5:30. Students will be lining up at 5:50 so please be on time. Remember to dress appropriately for a church setting. No tank tops or sleeveless tops, no bellies showing, no jeans, or ripped pants; ultimately this is our time to be in our Christmas best.
On another note, I want to review our drop off procedures.
from 7:10-7:20 cars need to use the drop off line and not pull up to the side. (this causes traffic to be backed up)
If your car is parallel to the school the students should be getting out, this way 5+ cars can unload and move on at the same time.
Mr. Geoff will start directing cars to go to the bottom row at 7:19, please do not drive around him (let's keep Mr. Geoff safe)
Top row closes at 7:19, staff have to go in for other duties if we stay outside there are places not covered inside (there is no one to cross your students)
Students have to walk around to the front once the doors are shut at 7:20
Drop off works very smoothly in comparison to many other places. Please have patience and abide by the guidelines to keep everyone safe and the traffic flowing. I appreciate your care and understanding.
Hoy es el día de nuestro Concierto de Navidad. Nuestros pasillos se han llenado de voces angelicales mientras nuestros estudiantes han estado practicando arduamente para brindarles un espectáculo fabuloso. Nuestra presentación de la 1:00 se verá ligeramente diferente ya que nuestros estudiantes también estarán en la iglesia viendo la presentación. Las puertas de la iglesia se abrirán a las 12:40. “Why” Resolutions
With the new year closely approaching, consider writing your New Year’s Resolutions differently. New York Times best selling author, M.D. and meditation expert, Deepak Chopra, suggests writing them in the form of a question as if they are already successful resolutions. “Why do I have good grades?” This puts your brain on a task to search for evidence. The brain (ego) likes to be right and will work hard to justify anything. Resist the temptation to answer the question. Let your subconscious do all the work. The evidence will make itself known and create an accomplished resolution. You will find you can not resist putting in the work to prove yourself correct in your resolution.
