Every single student has completed the necessary paperwork for re-enrollment in the 25-26 school year on time. Thank you families for all of your efforts in making that happen. Thank you for your patience in the unending reminders from our school and Siena staff.
Next week Wednesday, we begin the season of Lent. Students will be participating in weekly Prayer Services, Stations of the Cross, daily reflections, Reconciliation, buddy activities, and almsgiving.
Let's remember the following for Drop Off and Pick Up.
Drop Off: Students should be getting out of the car if your car is parallel to the school (you have already made the curve), if you see the car behind you getting out your students should also be getting out. Adults should not be out of the cars at all, the students need to be able to hop out on their own once the car has stopped. You must use the car line beginning at 7:05.
Pick Up: Please remember to pull forward when exiting. Backing up causes safety hazards. You must be in a parking spot to pick up your student.
Cada estudiante ha completado a tiempo la documentación necesaria para la reinscripción en el año escolar 25-26. Gracias familias por todos sus esfuerzos para que eso suceda. Gracias por su paciencia ante los interminables recordatorios de nuestra escuela y del personal de Siena.
El miércoles de la próxima semana comenzamos la temporada de Cuaresma. Los estudiantes participarán en servicios de oración semanales, estaciones de la cruz, reflexiones diarias, reconciliación, actividades con amigos y limosna.
Recordemos lo siguiente para Dejar y Recoger.
Dejar: Los estudiantes deben salir del auto si su auto está paralelo a la escuela (ya ha hecho la curva), si ve que el auto detrás de usted sale, sus estudiantes también deberían salir. Los adultos no deben bajarse de los coches en absoluto, los estudiantes deben poder salir solos una vez que el coche se haya detenido. Debe utilizar la fila de automóviles a partir de las 7:05.
Recogida: recuerde avanzar hacia adelante al salir. Retroceder causa riesgos de seguridad. Debe estar en un lugar de estacionamiento para recoger a su estudiante.
Students will also be creating a page in our slide show. More information will be coming soon, you can begin gathering pictures to be included now.
Class Speeches will be due April 30. Students can begin writing their speech if they would like to be considered and allow the Junior High staff to proof read at any point.
Students will be receiving applications for our Sr. Joyce Wiesner Merit Scholarship in early March. This is a $500 award sponsored by our SPA (parent organization). Students will be asked to write an essay based on a list of qualities valued by Sr. Joyce.
Attention 8th Grade Girls! 3 - $1500 Scholarships Applications are available Now! Milwaukee Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (MACCW), a strong supporter of Catholic Education, is proud to once again offer three $1,500 Scholarships to three deserving young girls who are planning to enter a Milwaukee Archdiocesan Catholic High School in the Fall of 2025. All 8th grade girls in the diocese are eligible to apply. Please spread the word to eligible daughters, granddaughters, nieces, friends or relatives. Catholic education is expensive, but the benefits are invaluable, and MACCW wants to help! Requirements include: Living in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and planning to attend one of our Faith-Centered Archdiocesan Catholic High Schools; Completing the application form, Writing a 500-word essay answering one of the two questions offered on the form, and a Letter of Recommendation from a non-relative. Everyone experiences anxiety, but how you manage it makes a difference. No one is too young to feel anxious or too young to manage it. Try this: While drawing the number 8 on your knee with your finger, breath in on the upward stroke and exhale slowly on the downstroke. You have just increased the amount of oxygen in your bloodstream, delivered to the problem solving part of your brain.
