1. Change the Property Listing
Go to the reservation. (Guesty summary in guest profile)
Click “Change” next to the current property listing.
Select the new property the guest will be relocated to.
Click “Save” to confirm the change.
2. Verify Host Payout
Review the updated payout details.
Ensure the payout reflects the correct amount for the new property.
🔹 Note: Airbnb deducts 3% from all transactions for credit card processing fees.
3. Send the Alteration Request
If the reservation details and payout look accurate, click “Send Request.”
4. Notify the Guest in Guesty
Immediately message the guest to explain the change.
Steps to message the guest:
Locate the reservation in Guesty.
Click “Inbox” (top-right corner).
In the message box, click “Saved Replies.”
Choose: “Send to Airbnb guest when an alteration is sent.”
Personalize the message to include:
“This change was made due to [insert reason, e.g., pet fees, property availability, maintenance, etc.].”
