Music

Year 9 Music introduces students to a variety of musical skills. Students learn the basics of songwriting, performance techniques, and explore playing a variety of instruments, focussing on guitar, keyboard, and voice. These skills are then applied by working collaboratively to write and perform an original song. Use of music in film is studied and original movie soundtracks created using technology. Music from other cultures is investigated through research and listening.
