Visual Art

Year 8 Visual Art introduces students to the conventions of drawing, painting and digital technologies and how to use this media to create artwork with confidence. Junior Art is centred around exploration and experimentation, where students are encouraged to immerse themselves in the creative process, learning to embrace mistakes and developing problem solving skills.

• drawing, painting, digital skills, application and techniques

• colour theory and practice

• looking at artists' works to identify art conventions to create individual drawing and multi-media artwork

• picture making and art developmental skills

• use of digital media to create, develop and construct visual ideas
