Performing Arts

Year 7 Performing Arts introduces students to the elements and techniques of Dance and Drama. We investigate how elements such as role, relationships, tension and mood create attention grabbing scenes. We use techniques such as voice, body, movement and space to communicate ideas with impact.

Course Focus

• development of and exploration of characters (roles)

• behaviour (and consequences) can be investigated.

• learning through playful situations which require focus, fun, innovation and cooperation.

• objective thinking is celebrated as we analyse each other's work.
