Ornaments for Bronx CB7
Christmas Tree Lighting on Mosholu
Our second-grade Art Club created snow lanterns for the Mosholu Bronx Tree Lighting! ❄️✨ Students designed and constructed lanterns using recycled materials, bringing light, color, and creativity to a special community celebration.
Self-contained kindergarten and first-grade students engaged in a sensory art experience by building a yeti using packing peanuts. Students followed a chalk outline as a visual guide while supporting fine motor development, spatial awareness, and tactile exploration.
In preparation for the holiday break, students designed cozy, inviting homes filled with cheer. Using line, pattern, and imaginative details, students created winter scenes that reflect warmth, comfort, and festive spirit.
Kindergarten students explored texture and mark-making by creating hedgehog quills using paint and the edge of cut cardboard. Students stamped spiky lines to represent quills and used texture plate rubbings to design a cozy nest, strengthening fine motor skills while learning how artists show implied texture.
