Wood Working 7

In Grade 7 students have the opportunity to use a number of hand tools including rip and cross-cutting saws, screw drivers, hammers and hand planes. The power tools used are the power drill and drill press along with the scroll saw.

• impossible nail through wood trick
• enlarged pencil
• cutting boards

Students gain a good understanding of negative space in project plans and learn about how strong the butt joint can be with an appropriate adhesives & fasteners.
