Wood Working 6
Students in Grade 6 will learn how to make a seamless butt joint which is fastened together with nails, screws and/or glue through the process of building a standard bird house.

Materials needed for the birdhouse are:
- 1x6 Cedar cut to the following lengths
- 3 pieces 9" long (sides)
- 1 piece 4" long (bottom)
- 1 piece 7 1/2" long (roof)
- 1 piece 13" long (back)
- Tittebond II or III glue as this is safe for birds to eat
- 1 1/2" forstner bit
- 1/4" drill bit
