Time Capsule Drawings

With this assignment of the time capsule drawings we were asked to draw a self portrait, a still life object and the corner of a room. With all of these drawings, I just used a graphite pencil to sketch, then either cross-hatched or smoothed the shading. Again, I was assigned to make a specific set of things however with a little more freedom; with the hand plane for example I got to choose, with most of these I centered whatever I was drawing on the paper. Some elements I used were line, value and shape.

For my use of composition rules I have just some low key lighting. None of these artworks were revised, I just made them look as accurate as I could for each one, slowly going along with what I was drawing.

These all relate to my life because these are things that I deal with everyday. If I could change something I would go back and make some of the lines and shading less "sketchy", cleaning them up a bit.
