A leading telecoms solutions provider is seeking a VAS Content & Product Manager to drive the creation, development, and rollout of innovative Value-Added Services (VAS) across Mobile Network Operators (MNOs).
The ideal candidate will combine creativity with commercial acumen ,identifying market trends, building strong partnerships with content providers, and launching consumer-friendly products that boost engagement and revenue. This role requires someone enterprising, strategic, and able to see the bigger picture of VAS business growth.
Product Development & Innovation
Identify, design, and launch engaging VAS products tailored for Nigerian and African consumers.
Translate market trends and consumer insights into innovative, commercially viable product ideas.
Ensure products are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with MNO requirements.
Content Management
Build and manage partnerships with content providers across music, sports, education, gaming, and infotainment.
Curate, evaluate, and integrate high-quality content into VAS offerings.
Continuously monitor performance and refresh content to maintain consumer interest.
Strategic Growth & Partnerships
Work with MNOs and aggregators to secure product placement and favorable commercial terms.
Explore partnerships with local and international content creators.
Support the broader strategy to expand the VAS business footprint across Nigeria and Africa.
Market & Competitive Analysis
Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to track successful VAS trends.
Benchmark products against top players to ensure competitiveness.
Provide insights and recommendations for new growth opportunities.
Operational Oversight
Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure seamless product integration and delivery.
Track KPIs such as subscriber uptake, usage, churn, and revenue per product.
Provide regular performance reports and insights to management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (advanced degree is a plus).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in VAS, telecoms, or digital content industry.
Proven success in developing and managing impactful VAS products.
Experience working with MNOs, aggregators, and third-party content providers.
