A fast-growing clean energy fintech company is seeking a dynamic Business and Sales Manager (Battery-as-a-Service) to lead one of its key profit centers. This role involves owning the P&L, creating the go-to-market strategy, and driving adoption of Battery-as-a-Service solutions across peri-urban and rural communities.
The Business and Sales Manager will recruit and manage last-mile agents, optimize logistics and delivery routes, and ensure customers enjoy seamless and reliable clean energy experiences. The role also requires building community partnerships, refining product–market fit, and ensuring operational excellence while contributing to the company’s clean energy mission.
Sales & Business Growth
Design and implement go-to-market strategies for Battery-as-a-Service
Drive customer acquisition and ensure daily rental targets are achieved
Build strong community relationships to deepen market penetration
Oversee pricing, budgets, commissions, and incentives for the sales channel
Operations & Logistics Management
Recruit, train, and manage last-mile agents to drive adoption in target communities
Optimize delivery routes and logistics to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
Monitor and refine customer experiences through seamless rental and return cycles
Track and manage P&L for the profit center, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability
Customer & Community Engagement
Oversee first-level customer issue resolution through agents
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across the rental lifecycle
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine product–market fit based on field data
Represent the company in community engagements and partnership forums
Leadership & Team Development
Build and lead a high-performing sales and operations team
Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to enhance team effectiveness
Foster a performance-driven culture that emphasizes accountability and results
Collaborate with leadership to align business unit OKRs and KPIs with company goals
Reporting & Performance Management
Establish KPIs to measure success (e.g., rental volumes, delivery efficiency, agent retention)
Provide regular reports on sales, performance, and operational challenges
Leverage insights from agents and customers to recommend improvements
Ensure compliance with operational standards and alignment with customer success goals
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Minimum of 6 years of experience in sales, business development, or last-mile logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
Proven experience managing field sales agents or community-driven sales channels
Strong understanding of P&L management and cost optimization
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
