A fast-growing Clean Energy FinTech platform is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales and Marketing to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and strategic partnerships. The company enables distributed solar energy providers and their customers to access payment plans, solution design tools, and supply chain partnerships that accelerate the transition to clean energy across Nigeria and beyond.
This role requires a commercially minded leader with a proven track record in sales strategy, marketing execution, and team leadership. The Head of Sales and Marketing will own the commercial blueprint, optimize profitability, and manage cross-functional collaboration to ensure customer acquisition, retention, and long-term revenue growth.
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Own the P&L for sales and marketing channels, ensuring profitability and scalability.
Penetrate key customer groups and markets with tailored go-to-market campaigns.
Drive adoption of clean energy solutions through pricing strategy, market intelligence, and customer-focused product positioning.
Partnerships & Market Expansion
Build and manage profitable partnerships to drive user acquisition and engagement.
Identify, structure, and negotiate strategic collaborations with solar providers, financiers, and ecosystem stakeholders.
Represent the company in high-value conversations, events, and industry engagements.
Sales Leadership & Team Management
Lead and coach a cross-functional team across Sales, Marketing, Data Analytics, and Customer Service.
Recruit, train, and manage high-performing teams aligned with growth objectives.
Develop incentive structures, compensation frameworks, and playbooks to motivate and drive results.
Provide ongoing mentorship, performance management, and thought leadership to the growth team.
Marketing & Customer Acquisition
Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute campaigns that attract and convert target audiences.
Oversee digital and offline strategies to drive adoption of solar systems and financing options.
Ensure seamless onboarding, customer satisfaction, and retention across all touchpoints.
Performance Management & Reporting
Define and track KPIs, OKRs, and sales metrics across revenue channels.
Prepare periodic performance and strategy reports for leadership.
Use data-driven insights to optimize sales processes, marketing campaigns, and customer experience.
Bachelor’s degree/HND in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or related roles, with at least 5 years in leadership.
Demonstrated experience in market penetration, commercial strategy, and revenue growth within a startup or high-growth environment.
Proven track record of exceeding sales metrics and leading high-performance teams.
Strong knowledge of CRM tools, sales workflows, and conversion optimization.
Technical understanding of solar solutions and fintech ecosystems is required.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English (spoken and written); proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
