Job Overview:
A fast-growing technology company with interests in fintech and telecommunications is seeking a dynamic General Manager of National Sales to lead aggressive growth and execute nationwide sales. The role will oversee sales strategy, distribution networks, and channel development across payment gateway solutions and mobile services, driving adoption, revenue growth, and market penetration.
This is a high-impact leadership role that requires proven expertise in building large-scale distribution channels, negotiating partnerships, and managing nationwide sales teams.
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement nationwide sales strategies for fintech and telecom product lines
Lead planning, forecasting, and execution to achieve revenue, transaction volume, and subscriber targets
Drive the adoption of new market entry products across Nigeria
Oversee sales budgets, pricing models, commissions, and incentives
Business Development & Partnerships
Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with distributors, FMCG route-to-market operators, fintech aggregators, and retail agents
Onboard and expand merchant aggregators, super-agents, and regional distribution networks
Represent the organization in trade fairs, industry engagements, and strategic forums.
Operational Excellence:
Establish and scale nationwide agent, merchant, and institutional partner networks
Monitor competitors, customer behavior, and market trends to refine go-to-market approaches
Ensure compliance with NCC, CBN, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Team Building & Leadership
Build and manage a national sales team, including regional managers, field agents, and support staff.
Provide training, mentoring, and performance management.
Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on results, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
10+ years’ proven experience in national sales leadership roles.
Strong background in distribution-driven industries such as FMCG, Telecoms (MNO/MVNO), Pharmaceuticals, or Financial Services.
Demonstrated success in building agent/distributor networks at scale across Nigeria.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Strong commercial acumen, analytical ability, and strategic thinking.
Ability to travel extensively across Nigeria.
