As part of our bold expansion strategy, we are hiring an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager (Public Sector) to drive revenue growth and market penetration across Nigeria’s public sector. In this high-impact role, you will manage sales operations, develop key partnerships, and lead both direct and indirect go-to-market strategies to establish us as the leading HR solution for government agencies and institutions.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth
Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for direct and channel sales within the public sector
Generate revenue through new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and targeted outreach
Identify and pursue opportunities within federal, state, and local government institutions
Own and deliver on a partner-sourced sales quota, including through digital and offline campaigns
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain a strong pipeline through referrals, prospecting, and relationship management
Engage directly with C-level executives, procurement teams, and key decision-makers in government organizations
Conduct product demos, lead consultative sales conversations, and close high-value SaaS deals
Drive customer satisfaction, account renewals, and long-term loyalty through channel partner support
Channel Partner Management
Identify, recruit, and onboard channel partners focused on the public sector
Coach and support channel sales teams to structure, pitch, and close deals
Execute joint partner activities such as seminars, marketing campaigns, webinars, and training sessions
Ensure alignment between partner goals and company objectives through regular check-ins and performance reviews
Reporting and Internal Collaboration
Coordinate with Account Executives, Product, Legal, Finance, and Customer Success teams to ensure a our client and partner experience
Deliver regular reports on pipeline health, sales performance, and market trends
Uphold our Fvalues, culture pillars, and brand image at all times
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in B2B tech sales, with at least 10 years of cumulative working experience
Proven success in selling SaaS or related technology solutions to public sector institutions
Strong understanding of public procurement processes, government sales cycles, and compliance
Demonstrated ability to lead partner-driven sales operations and manage revenue targets
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and scale a SaaS sales motion in complex ecosystems
Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
Willingness to travel as needed
