As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive adoption, build strategic relationships, and grow our customer base across Nigeria.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing revenue-generating strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and leading client engagements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a solid background in B2B software sales, a strong understanding of HR processes, and a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
This is a strategic and high-impact role for a sales professional who is passionate about helping organizations streamline operations and elevate the employee experience.
Responsibilities:
Business Development Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy for promoting HR management software
Conduct market research and identify key business opportunities in target sectors
Lead end-to-end sales efforts including prospecting, product demos, presentations, negotiation, and closure
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects and report accurately on performance metrics
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
Communicate the value proposition of our HR software in solving real business challenges
Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term client partnerships through consultative selling
Cross-functional Collaboration & Market Insight
Work closely with the marketing team to craft compelling campaigns and sales assets
Provide customer feedback to the product team to support product enhancement and roadmap alignment
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of market shifts
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally in SaaS or HR tech
Strong understanding of HR processes, technologies, and pain points
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships and close B2B deals
Results-driven with a consistent track record of exceeding sales targets
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
