Haryana Municipal Election Rules, 1978, Rule 70 – No dispute raised with respect to the quorum of the meeting and the fact that President and Vice President were elected unanimously by 9 members – Plea that the election not in accordance with the procedure laid down – Still the numbers were in favour of the elected President and Vice President - The presence/ participation of the petitioners would have made no difference to the result of the election - Petitioners were served with notice of meeting which was clear that the meeting was fixed for administering oath and for election - Moreover, the President and Vice President have already held the office for more than 1 and ½ years – Election upheld.
