Nikko Ramos: You have a good amount of experience I wish I had under my belt. I find it interesting how compassionate and caring everyone seems to be towards future students. You gave a professional yet warm tone throughout your writings. What made this a passion of yours? you have various experiences, what drew you towards education?
Hi Rebecca! It was wonderful getting to learn more about you! My educational philosophy is also a blend of essentialism and progressivism. It definitely seems to be the best of both worlds. I think it is so important, especially in elementary school, that all students have tactile experiences where they can interact with the curriculum and each other! -Krista Ronk
Hey Rebecca! I really enjoyed your page! I also found that we have similarities in the kind of teachers we want to be! I also lean toward essentialism and progressivism, because I believe it is the teacher's job to be a guide, and a student's job to apply their learning in their own way. And I LOVED your conductor metaphor. "The Learning Express" is so cute! - Sadie Jansen
Hey Rebecca, (nice name by the way!) I love the idea of you as the conductor! Being the one on the journey with your students, over and over again, helping them reach their destinations, is such an interesting way to look at education. Based on your slide show, i would say that the philosophies you picked fit you so well! -Rebecca Hinson
