My Poem To My Students
In skies of grey, where shadows creep, A young heart struggles, buried deep. The world outside, a misty haze, Each morning dawns in troubled days.
Then steps a teacher, gentle, bright, A quiet beacon, softest light. No booming lesson, stark and cold, But stories whispered, brave and bold.
They see the flicker, damp and low, The spark within that longs to grow. With steady hand, a patient guide, They pull the heavy clouds aside.
A sunny smile, a listening ear, Dispelling doubt, dissolving fear. A simple truth, a gentle phrase, Transforms the path through winding maze.
For in that room, where warmth takes hold, A fragile future starts to unfold. A ray of sun, through tempest's strife, The teacher shines, a hope for life.
Love,
Ms. Meadows
The AI search engines I used were Google Gemini and Chat GPT. I used Chat GPT for generating my pictures. The first pictures prompt was "Can you generate me a picture of a little girl with brown hair, imagining she is a teacher and teaching her stuffed animals and dolls in her room." The last picture's prompt was "sunrays beaming on happy children."
Google Gemini was used to brainstorm and create a outline of my paper.
I also used Canva to construct all the documents and slide shows used!
TLED 301, at ODU with Dr. Kidd and TA Sam Myers have really opened the world of ai to me. I was unaware of all the potential it has besides "cheating." Now that I am more informed of ai cpabilities, I am less intimidated of it.
