Who am I?: My name is Imonni, and I am on the journey to becoming a teacher. I have always wanted to work with children. Teaching excite me because it will let me inspire, and make a differennce in the lives of my students. Outside of school I enjoy watching tv, and listening to music.
What I know?: So far, I know that teaching is more than just waking up and doing a job, or giving a lesson. it is about building relationships with your students and creating an environment where they feel safe. I also know that patience, kindness, and consistency are important qualities every good teacher needs.
What I have to Learn?: I have learned some stratergies for classroom management, lesson planning, and using technology to make learning engaging. Even though I do have some knowledge of teaching, there is still so much for me to learn I want to learn more skills in classroom management, and supporting diverse learners. I need to learn ways to make lessons exciting for students with different backgrounds and learning styles.
The teacher I will become: I see myself being a teacher who is caring, supportive, loving, and creative I want my classroom to be a safe space where students feel comfortable expressing their feelings and themselves. My goal is to encourage students to be confident when learning.

With my educational philosophy I believe that children learn best when they are engaged and active. My goal is to create a classroom that has values of equilty, diveristy and inclusion, I want to have a classroom where students feel welcomed and respected. I feel like learning for young children should be hands on and not just listening to their teacher talk. It gives them a change to be curious, creative and also explore themselves. I see my role as a guide, to provide the tools and support students need to explore their interest. By creating a safe, and supportive enviroment I hope to not only nurture my students academically but to also nurture their social and emotional development

The teacher I will become believes in creating a classroom where every child feels valued, supported, and included. I belive every student brings something unique to every classroom. By embracing diversity in my classroom and building an inclusive classroom, I will make sure that all my students feel see, heard, respected, and that they are capable to achieve whatever goals they have in mind.

I really enjoyed your page and how well thought out your teacher's philosophy was. Seeing images of you actually teaching was amazing and a great addition! I agree with your philosophy about keeping kids engaged and active in their learning.
I would note that it does feel as though a lot of the information is repeated throughout the page; between the intial text, the google slide, and then the different sections below, I do feel as if one of those could be removed or revised to further elaborate. Thank you!
As you've mentioned, creating an environment where students feel safe and respected is very important. I love your dedication to making sure students feel comfortable in the classroom, so they are able to express themselves freely. Another great point you made is that children are more likely to learn using hands on, instead of sitting at their desks all day listening to the teacher and/or using their computer. Hey Imonni! First, I love that you said teaching isn't just a job! As teachers, we are responsible for the next generation of humans, and that is a lot to take in! I agree that doing our best to build relationships, provide knowledge, and teach useful skills is the most important part of our job. I also liked that you added diversity, inclusion, and respect as core elements of your classroom. Imonni, Your presentation is such a pleasure to read. I appreciate the importance you put on creating a classroom environment that feels very safe so that children will feel valued and respected. Those things, in my opinion, are prerequisites to true learning, curiosity, discovery and creativity. When teachers fail to place the necessary level of importance on those parts of the role of being a teacher, they miss out on genuine connection and learning for both the students and teachers.
