This page outlines the steps you will take to complete your portfolio. Each Portfolio will contain 4 sections:
Research: On this page you will answer the following questions relating to the pneumatic car,
The origin of a pneumatic vehicle
What would be the incentive for using this type of energy
How does it work
Identify 3 alternative energy sources, other than compressed air, to propel a car.
Identify a factor which may influence people to use this type of energy.
Choose 1 of the energy sources you have mentioned and describe how that energy affects the environment in a positive way.
Explain what types of programs are available to support the energy source you have chosen. (eg. educational or career driven programs)
2. Design: Using sketch-up, you will develop a minimum of 3 different designs for a pneumatic
car. On this page you will post your designs in orthographic projection with a brief
description of each design. Having the last design being your final drawing you must
include dimensions and a completed field text box.
3. Procedure: Here you explain each step you will take in the process of achieving your final
artifact. From selecting your materials, to racing your car to the finish line.
4. Conclusion: Reflect on the process you went through throughout this project. Talk about what
you liked/disliked, any problems that arose and how you went about solving them.
Maybe mention what you would do differently next time. Talk about how your
procedure list compares to the techniques you used to assemble your car.
