As part of the university application process, every applicant must write a personal statement. It's a chance for you to articulate why you'd like to study a particular course or subject, and what skills and experience you possess that show your passion for your chosen field. You want to make sure that your personal statement stands out from the crowd, and the best way to demonstrate your enthusiasm and passion for your subject is by taking part in super curriculum activities.
In year 12 you will have the opportunity to volunteer in local schools, mentor younger students, be part of a variety of clubs and societies, plus much more….However, you should also be undertaking your own super curriculum activities to really make an impression. You can even start doing this in year 10 and 11!
Activities could include reading around your subject, listening to podcasts, or attending open lectures. Below are a range of links to sites to get you started, but do your own research too! Start recording everything you are doing on unifrog, so you don't forget - you'll need it for your personal statement.
