In years 7 and 8 you will study ICT and Computer Science, learning about programmes and software that can be used. You will also become more confident at using Google Technology. In addition, in all of your subjects you will regularly use technology to enhance your understanding.

Should do

  • Visit the Success at School Digital and Technology page to find our more about what this sector involves.

  • Attend IT club to increased your knowledge of programming and using software.

  • Complete the free coding courses on the Khan Academy to help you develop your understanding of creating interactive text based and media walk through.

Could do

  • Visit Unifrog and use the subject and careers library to identify jobs and careers which require digital skills.

  • Join one of the Redbridge clubs on coding and STEM.

  • Ask your parents if they know anyone in these professions and speak to them about their role.
