I interned at Durango Treasures, It's like a toy shop and a gift shop that targets tourists as well as local people. It sells a variety of different things ranging from toy trains, to mugs, magnets, and more. I chose this location because it was downtown located on 900 Main Ave, and it has good places to eat lunch before I went there every day. I learned that retail is kind of boring, but I also learned many tasks like how to use a price gun, the register, stamping bags, and more. This internship impacted my future goals and aspirations because while I did think it was pretty boring and I don't really want to work there, I think places like it might be a really good job to get in the summer. I impacted my community by working in my community and being a part of it, I think working in my community was really important and definitely impacted me and the people around me.
I ended up getting an exceeds on my internship presentation that I did, because I explained my internship in detail and I presented it in an organized pretty way, I got a meets on my internship journal because I answered all of the questions for each day I worked, resulting in a meets.
