At the beginning of the year, my goal for ownership was to better accept feedback from others.
I understood my goal to mean that If somebody gives me feedback that I should put that into my work. One example of me doing this is in a small project in the Geological Location Presentation when one of my members told me to include images that relate to what I was talking about just like how this picture of colors and minerals relate to what I'm talking about.
One example of me doing this include when I got feedback for my project build. The feedback was to instead of painting the ground that we should make it more realistic. I took that feedback and mixed paint and dirt to add a realistic effect. This shows I decided to get more creative with the feedback and put it into my work.
At the beginning of the year, my goal for helpfulness was to think of good feedback that relates to something in somebody's project and will help them out.
I understood this goal to mean that while the person is presenting I should be thinking about things that could improve their project.
One example of me doing this was actually on a POL when somebody was presenting and they only had two sentences for their reflection. I told them they could add a little more which they then did.
By the end of this year, I was adding even more feedback to others' work. In art when we do gallery walks and write what the artist could improve on or what they noticed about somebody’s art. Instead of writing “cool” I added, maybe next time you could blend in the colors of the sunset to make it more realistic.
At the beginning of the year, my goal for respect was to acknowledge others' perspectives and agree diplomatically.
I understood my goal to mean, that instead of just saying “no” or “that’s a bad idea” I should disagree kindly or find an agreement in the middle of what we both want.
One example of me doing this is on our Adaptations of the First Americans when one of my partners wanted to build a different house than me, so we decided to make a totally different house and also ask our other partner.
By the end of this year, I was doing this more and more. Another example was in our science exhibition when we all wanted to do different things so I said that we could all put our thoughts into it. In the end everybody got what they wanted and all ideas were incorporated like the video game.
