I can describe the effects of the Columbian Exchange. In this project we worked with a partner and researched all about what got passed and traded from the Columbian exchange. Things like food, disease, money and more.
For this exhibition I am most proud of researching all of the ingredients. There were a ton of things to research and i'm proud I got it all done in time. I almost had to work extra to everything down. But in the end I got it all done. The hardest part of this exhibition was the baking part. I had to find enough time to actually bake what I was making. I also had to follow a lot of steps and in some parts got confused. I had to make the brownies hand made instead of using a packet and I also had to make the pumpkin by myself. The Habit Of Heart And Mind I connected the most with was effort. It took a lot of effort to write down the ingredients and make the brownies. I also had to memorize the script and with a small group of sixth graders, we had to set up the whole place at the VFW. So it took a lot of effort to get everything done it time, we did not write the script until later so we had to write and memorize it fast.
Overall I think this exhibition was fun and I found it a challenge to work alone and have to research alone.
