This week students will practise using a variety of comprehension strategies to make sense of various texts. We will also be practising answering NAPLAN questions, based on the texts we read. Students will continue to practise their reading fluency.
This week students will focusing on verb tenses. They will also begin to plan writing their self evaluations.
This week students will be revisiting renaming, using money to rename notes into coins. They will also be doing some of their Maths assessments.
In Spelling this week, we will be reflecting on the year and revisit a variety of previous spelling choices
At home, you can support your child by doing the following activities:
Child writes the word, saying each sound as he/she writes.
Draw child’s attention to the target phonic pattern.
Help child choose the correct spelling pattern if there are options.

In Grammar this week, students will explore verb tenses.

In Wellbeing this week, we will be focusing on more Respectful Relationship lessons.
In this lesson:
• Students will identify that the opposite of violence is respect.
• Students will role-play ways that people can organise to play with others in a way that is friendly, gender fair and respectful.
• Students will identify and demonstrate strategies that peers can use to help solve problems in a respectful way.
We will be going through a few examples, such as the one below:
