This week students will practise using a variety of comprehension strategies to make sense of various texts. Students will also continue to practise their reading fluency.
This week students will focus on writing compound sentences and using conjunctions (such as so and or). They will also have time for free choice writing and completing any unfinished informative texts.
This week students will be exploring subtraction by figuring out the difference between two numbers. They will also name, identify and describe various two-dimensional shapes.
In Spelling this week, we will be focusing on the following:
Spelling choices, rules and skills:
- to practise reading and spelling words with the trigraph 't' 'c' 'h' saying /ch/ at the end of words (e.g. watch)
