In Wellbeing this week, we will be focusing on fair play.
Our goals will be:
-to describe how the rules of the game help people to play in a fair way.
-to explain how being unfair can lead to people getting hurt or upset.
It will be discussed that being fair is when:
-we treat people with equal respect. -We include them. -We don’t treat some people badly. -We follow the rules. -We share turns and resources. -We don’t treat some as favourites and others as if they are not important. We will practise these expectations through some games, then reflect on whether we were able to be fair when playing.
e.g. Were they able to identify that unfair play can lead to arguments and to people getting hurt or upset? Were they able to identify that it is equally important for all people to play in a fair and friendly manner, regardless of any gender mix?
