This week students will continue to practise the reading comprehension strategy- finding the main idea of a passage and summarising what they read. Students will also continue to practise reading fluently when they read aloud various texts.
This week students will begin to plan and create their own persuasive text using the skills and knowledge they have gained form the previous weeks. This will include writing about an opinion they feel strongly about, using evidence to support their ideas and using 'because' to extend their sentences.
This week students will continue to practise skip-counting, writing multiplication number sentences and making arrays.

In Wellbeing this week, we will be focusing on more Respectful Relationship lessons.
For our first lesson, our goal will be around creating a calmer classroom and we will focus on:
- explaining what self control means
- talking about things I can do to calm my down
We will be reflecting on the strategies we can be using to calm ourselves down, and doing activities that will allow us to practise using these strategies.
Our second lesson, our goal we be around making new friends. We will focus on:
-providing suggestions about what people can do to make new friends.
-making suggestions about what helps when you are worried about making new friends.
A question you could ask at home could be:
Can you think of things that people can do when they are worried about how to make new friends?
You might even write a list of ideas!
Thanks for your support :)
