This week, students will practise their comprehension strategies to help them understand the text. In particular, practise to infer when they read. Students will also continue to practise reading fluently when they read aloud various texts.
This week students will have the opportunity to write about their holidays. Students will also begin to explore the purpose, features and language used in persuasive texts.
This week students will be introduced to multiplication with one-digit numbers, using repeated addition. We will focus on skip-counting (or pattern counting) by twos.

In Wellbeing this week, we will be having a 'mini-champs' lesson. The focus will be on our MPS value of respect.
Our goals for this lesson will be:
- To use our manners
- To identify and practise using correct manners in different situations
We will be going through some different scenarios as a class to identify and practise using manners in different situations. Please feel free to have a follow up discussion about this at home, using some of the scenarios below!
