Dune: Part 2
The Dune: part 2 movie that premiered on March 1st was overall and very impressive and well directed and produced. It picks up the storyline from the first Dune movie very well and is very good at allowing the audience to understand the plot and storyline after only seeing the first movie once. As long as you have watched the first movie or read the book, it is very easy to follow and has a very interesting and immersive plot. Dune: Part 2’s special effects, scene work and props were also very realistic and made the entire movie seem more realistic. It was incredibly well portrayed by its cast members and the entire movie seemed to come to life on screen. It was incredibly good and in my opinion did a very good job at bringing the storyline through both movies and despite its complicated plot it is very easy to follow. For those who don’t the plot of Dune, it is following a boy in around his late teens and early twenties who’s father rules the Atreides Empire and they are at war with Harkonnen over spice, a almost medicine with the consistency of sand that has many health benefits such as increasing life expectancy. To them, spice is even more valuable in gold and in the movie, many scenes show the characters putting themselves in danger to get spice. The movie follows the young boy named Paul Atreides and his empire’s conflict with Harkonnen. If you have the time, it is definitely a movie worth watching.
