Do you have any pets? I have a black lab mix named Dorris, who is almost 2 years old.
What was middle school like for you? It was an adjustment—-I think it was mostly awkward, a little funny, a great time to explore new interests and hobbies—I made a few new friends-I remember being very clumsy, and a little goofy, but I also started to take school a little more seriously, and started working harder at the things I enjoyed, like playing clarinet.
What do you like to do in your free time? Read (of course!), do yoga, hike with my dog and family, cook, and play strategy board games.
Who is your favorite actor or musical artist? Matt Damon, Tom Hanks, and Robin Williams. Pink, Bon Jovi, U2, Journey
What are you afraid of? Bats
Do you like teaching research skills and digital citizenship? What is your favorite part of teaching?
I love being able to help students feel more independent finding relevant information-research can feel overwhelming, but being able to help guide students through the process and seeing them feel confident is my favorite part of teaching. I also love helping students find their next great read ;)
What is your funniest childhood memory?
One time I was hanging out with my friends, and I laughed so hard lemonade came out of my nose ;)

I like the students and staff here; they are all fabulous people!
What is your proudest accomplishment?
My two children, Rosalyn and Elaine.

The 7th and 8th grade Band and Chorus have spent so much work on their music over the past few months ever since their concert in January. Last Wednesday, on May 21st, their hard work was finally put on show! This would be their last concert of the year, and a showstopper! The 7th and 8th grade Chorus went first, followed by the 7th Grade Band, the Percussion Ensemble and the 8th Grade Band. And they all sounded great! Congratulations to all who participated, and what a great last concert!
